The determination of any detected molecule was performed using GC-MS, LCDAD, GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS. Alcohol and GHB were determined by specific methods. A total of 134 cases of alleged DFSA were screened for drugs of abuse, prescription drugs and GHB, and 108 for alcohol. Most of the victims were women (94%). Twenty-seven percent of the cases were negative. Alcohol alone or together with other drugs was the most common finding (51 cases of 108). A wide range of drugs was found, in descending order: cocaine (14%), BZD (10%), MDMA and MDA (10%), THC (10%), amphetamine (4%), GHB (detected in only two cases) and ketamine (detected in one case).
