Wir werden dies am Beispiel der wichtigsten Ordnungsparameter darstellen; zu vermuten ist, dass noch durchaus nicht alle entdeckt worden sind. Kauffman (1993), der selbst einen Ordnungsparameter entdeckt hat, spricht in diesem Zusammenhang von einem „Parameterzoo“.
Fuzzy-Methoden, die in dem entsprechenden Kapitel ebenfalls dargestellt werden, sind von daher als eine Erweiterung von Basismodellen zu verstehen.
