When much colder inside than 50 0 (200 or colder outside, seldom), we add a third quilt (quite thick sleepa opened out). Under the covers, we usually sleep nUde except for knit caps and (on Holly) long thick socks. We have a 4th sleepa in a pail near by, in case of extreme cold, but haven't had to use it. ) If occupying a semi-buried shelter long, what is under us is less important for warmth than what is over us, because the ground will gradually warm. Another problem: During rain, water and roofing cement drain down the trailer's sides. The cement sticks and is hard to remove. I used a drill with a fiber brush (NOT metal). Carburator spray, too, will get it off. The paint may need touching up. Home Depot and Lowes sell suitable paint. After liVing in the trailer a year, its electric wiring failed. Likely cause: a power surge. AC electricity from power lines doesn't run smooth all the time. A power surge could set your home on fire. To bypass the failed wiring, I ran a new extension cord from the utility-meter power-source.

The pedals are slightly more forward than on a conventional bike, but not as far forward as on a recumbent. The one thing I'll change: its wide-berth comfort-bike seat. Because of the slight angle of the pedals, there is nothing behind my butt to push against when pluggin' up hills. ) I need a seat with a small back, maybe 3-4" high. I may design it myself, or see i f any type of modified recumbent seat woUld work.
