The second peak occurs on phase B at approximately 120" or (t = 2d3w). Since the ac components are identical we can easily see which peak is larger by comparing the dc components. Starting with phases B and C, we can see that they start at the same value (I, / 2 ) . We also know, without looking at the absolute quantitative values, that since the decay at 60" is less than at 120°, the peak of the current on phase C is larger. Next comparing the peaks of phases A and C, we can see that the dc component on A starts with twice the value of the component of C, but by the time A reaches its peak it has decayed more than the C component.
